Nuts are the perfect snack for heart health, say researchers

A new study has found that regular consumption of nuts can significantly reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Doctors emphasize that this is the product you should choose as a snack if you care about your heart health.

According to the results of scientific work, daily consumption of a small portion of nuts - about 30 grams - has a positive effect on blood cholesterol levels, blood pressure and reduces inflammation in the body. The most useful are walnuts, almonds, cashews and pistachios, especially without salt.

The study, published in one of the leading cardiology journals, is based on data collected from more than 100 thousand participants over several years. Those who regularly consumed nuts had a 20-30% lower risk of coronary heart disease compared to those who avoided this product.

In addition, nuts are rich in healthy fats, fiber, antioxidants and trace elements, including magnesium and potassium, which play an important role in maintaining a healthy cardiovascular system. They are easy to take with you and do not require cooking - this makes nuts even more attractive as a snack.

However, doctors warn: even healthy products should be consumed in moderation. Excessive consumption of nuts can lead to excess calories in the diet. Also, people with allergies or digestive problems should be careful to include them in their menu.

Given all the benefits, doctors advise replacing the usual snacks - chips, cookies or chocolate - with a handful of nuts. This is not only good for the heart, but also helps control appetite and blood sugar levels, contributing to an overall improvement in well-being.
