The relationship between human blood group and the risk of thrombosis: new scientific findings| Здоровье
The relationship between human blood group and the risk of thrombosis: new scientific findings Blood group is one of the most important biological factors that determines not only compatibility for blood transfusion, but can also have an impact on human health. Scientists have recently discovered that blood type can also be a factor that determines susceptibility to blood clots, including the risk of developing venous thrombosis and strokes. This discovery opens new horizons in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. According to recent studies, people with blood type A have an increased risk of developing thrombosis. This may be due to increased levels of fibrinogen in their blood, a protein involved in blood clotting. Excessive amounts of this protein can contribute to the formation of blood clots in veins and arteries, which in turn increases the risk of strokes and heart attacks. This risk has been found to increase in people with type A blood compared to those with other types. People with blood type B also have a slightly higher risk of developing thrombosis, although not as great as people with blood type A. Such patients have an increased tendency to form blood clots due to the characteristics of a genetic mutation that affects the level of certain clotting factors, such as as Willebrand factor, which plays a key role in blood clotting. As for people with blood type AB, their risk of blood clots is usually between those of blood types A and B, but data on this group is still limited. Scientists continue to study the relationship between genetic characteristics and the tendency to blood clots in people with this blood group. People with blood type O have the lowest risk of blood clots. This is because people with this blood type tend to have lower levels of fibrinogen and other clotting proteins. Studies have shown that people with type O are less prone to blood clots and have a lower risk of cardiovascular disease compared to people with other blood types. Although blood type can be an important risk factor for blood clots, scientists emphasize that it is only one of many factors. Heredity, lifestyle, diet and physical activity also significantly affect the likelihood of developing thrombosis. Therefore, even if your blood type may increase the risk, it does not mean that the disease will necessarily develop. Knowing these facts, it is important to pay attention to your health and undergo regular medical examinations in order to detect any blood clotting disorders or other potential health-threatening problems in time. Studying the role of blood group in thrombus formation is of great importance for the development of individual strategies for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Ключевые слова:
