Externally, quail eggs have a characteristic spotted shell. However, it is not only the size and appearance that distinguish these eggs - the chemical composition is also worth paying attention to. Quail eggs contain more nutrients per 100 g of product. They are richer in B vitamins, especially B1 and B2, and also contain more iron, potassium, phosphorus and copper. In addition, they have more amino acids, antioxidants and practically do not cause allergic reactions, so they are often recommended even for children and people with protein sensitivity. Chicken eggs are also very nutritious. They contain vitamins A, D, E, K, lecithin, as well as complete protein that is easily digestible. Due to the high choline content, chicken eggs support brain and liver function. At the same time, due to the higher cholesterol content, people with cardiovascular diseases should consume them in moderation. In terms of calorie content, both types do not differ much: 100 g of quail eggs contain about 158 kcal, while chicken eggs contain about 143 kcal. However, due to their smaller size, you need to eat more quail eggs to get full, which evens out this figure. In general, both options have their advantages. If you need a source of protein and a universal ingredient for cooking, chicken eggs will be more convenient.
