The best time for a cup of tea: scientific advice on the optimal time to drink the drink

Tea is not only a tasty but also a healthy drink that is popular all over the world. However, when is the best time to drink tea to make the most of its properties and not harm the body? Scientists have conducted numerous studies, and based on the data obtained, several interesting conclusions can be drawn. Now we know that the time of tea consumption can affect its effectiveness.

First of all, it is worth noting that tea contains caffeine, which stimulates the central nervous system. This makes it an ideal choice for the morning. Scientists recommend drinking tea in the morning, when the body needs the most energy to start a new day. Tea with caffeine can increase concentration and help wake up after a night of rest.

However, drinking tea on an empty stomach is not the best idea. Since tea can stimulate the production of gastric juices, consuming it without food can lead to stomach irritation. So, if you plan to drink tea in the morning, make sure you have eaten breakfast or at least a light snack beforehand.

As for the evening, many people choose a cup of tea to relax before bed. This can also be beneficial, but only if you choose a tea without caffeine. There are various types of tea that do not contain caffeine - for example, herbal teas, such as chamomile or peppermint. They have calming properties and can help the body relax and prepare for sleep.

Studies have shown that drinking tea after strenuous physical activity can also be beneficial. Tea, especially green, contains antioxidants that help the body recover after exertion. In addition, green tea contains the amino acid L-theanine, which improves brain activity and reduces stress levels.

The time of day when you drink tea is no less important. Experts recommend choosing a time when cortisol levels in the body are lower. This usually happens after 10-11 am and after 2 pm. During this period, tea will have the best effect without unnecessary stress on the body.

In general, the optimal time for a cup of tea depends on your individual needs and health. Morning, afternoon or evening - each time has its own advantages. However, it is important to remember that not only the time of consumption is important, but also the choice of tea type and dosage to maximize its beneficial properties.
