This physical defect can appear in anyone, regardless of gender or age. Why does it appear? What are the main reasons for the existence of a second chin? Let's consider this issue in more detail.

The first reason is excess weight. It is known that excess weight can contribute to the accumulation of fat in various parts of the body, including the chin. This can be the result of an unbalanced diet, a sedentary lifestyle or genetic factors. The chin can become one of the first areas where excess weight begins to accumulate.

The second reason is aging. With age, the skin loses its elasticity and tone, which can lead to the appearance of a second chin. Collagen, which is responsible for the elasticity of the skin, begins to be produced less, which leads to sagging of the skin on the neck and under the chin.

The sixth reason is insufficient physical activity. A sedentary lifestyle leads to a decrease in muscle tone in the neck and chin area, which can contribute to the appearance of a double chin. To prevent or eliminate this problem, it is recommended to do physical exercises aimed at maintaining the tone of the neck and chin muscles.
