The Medicinal Properties of Plants and Foods

Nature has endowed us with a variety of foods and plants that can support health and help with various ailments. For example, bananas and green tea are beneficial for intestinal infections, including dysentery. A decoction of pomegranate peels, prepared by boiling dried or fresh peels in water, is also considered an effective remedy. It is recommended to take a few tablespoons three times a day to speed up the body's recovery.

For minor burns, applying a swab soaked in eucalyptus tea is very helpful. This decoction is prepared in a double boiler, which preserves the medicinal properties of the leaves, and regular compresses accelerate skin healing. These natural remedies provide a gentle effect and minimize the risk of side effects.

Nuts—walnuts, pine nuts, hazelnuts, and cashews—are known for their calming effect on the nervous system. The magnesium they contain helps manage stress, reduces irritability, and maintains brain function. A magnesium deficiency can cause headaches, forgetfulness, and increased excitability. If nuts are not part of your diet, magnesium can be obtained from beans, butter, leafy greens, and spices.

Foods rich in vitamins A, C, and E are important for strengthening the immune system. Black and white currants, rose hips, kiwi, citrus fruits, cabbage, broccoli, and lettuce help protect the body from infections, especially during epidemics. Including orange or tomato juice with vegetable oil in your diet boosts the body's resistance, and chewing food slowly improves the absorption of nutrients.

Bay leaf, a familiar spice, has antibacterial properties and is helpful for rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, and excessive sweating. Bay leaf infusions and decoctions invigorate the body, strengthen the immune system, and promote vitality.

Herbal infusions and herbal teas help support gastrointestinal function, reduce appetite, eliminate excess cholesterol, and stimulate metabolism. For example, infusions of elderberry, chamomile, linden blossom, and mint, as well as buckthorn bark, dandelion, and fennel, are used in 2-3-week courses. These natural remedies gently normalize bodily functions and help prevent various diseases.

Thus, using natural products and plants is an effective way to maintain health, combat fatigue and stress, strengthen the immune system, and prevent the development of chronic and acute diseases. Proper nutrition and natural remedies help a person maintain energy and inner balance.
