Ginger against cancer: what a new British study showed| Здоровье
Ginger against cancer: what a new British study showed Ginger has long been known as a natural remedy for strengthening immunity, fighting inflammation and facilitating digestion. However, a new study by British scientists adds another important benefit - potential protection against the development of bowel cancer. How the study was conducted Experts from the UK conducted an experiment with the participation of 30 volunteers. The participants received 2 grams of ginger extract daily for a certain period. This amount corresponds to approximately a teaspoon of dried powder or a few slices of fresh root. The aim was to test how regular consumption of ginger affects intestinal cells and processes associated with tumor formation. Unexpected results After the end of the observation, the researchers found that the participants who took ginger had a significantly reduced risk of developing precancerous changes in intestinal cells. In other words, the natural substances contained in ginger helped reduce the activity of inflammatory processes and inhibited the growth of potentially dangerous cells. Why ginger can act as a protector Ginger contains bioactive compounds - gingerol, shogaol and paradol, which have powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. These substances help fight stress at the cellular level, reduce oxidation in tissues and support the normal functioning of the digestive system. Thanks to this, the intestine copes better with toxins that enter with food or the environment. Ginger as part of prevention Despite the fact that the results of the study are encouraging, scientists emphasize: ginger cannot replace medical treatment or screening for cancer. However, its regular consumption as part of a balanced diet can be an effective element of prevention. Ginger can be added to tea, smoothies, soups or salads - it is not only useful, but also improves the taste of dishes. What’s next The researchers plan to expand the experiment to test the effects of ginger on a larger number of participants, as well as to find out whether similar effects can be observed in different forms of cancer. At the same time, their findings already show that even a small dose of the natural product can have a noticeable positive effect on intestinal health. A daily serving of ginger is not just an aromatic spice, but a natural tool for maintaining health and preventing serious diseases. Ключевые слова:
