Is Your Body Poisoned? Six Signs That You Have Too Many Toxins

In today’s world, our bodies are exposed to a variety of toxins every day, from harmful substances in the air and water to chemicals in food, cosmetics, and household products. Our bodies are usually able to eliminate these harmful substances on their own, but when toxins build up, a variety of symptoms may occur that signal the need for lifestyle changes or a visit to a professional.

One of the most common symptoms is chronic fatigue. Even after a good night’s sleep, you may feel exhausted, lacking energy, and lacking motivation. This may be a sign that your liver, which is responsible for filtering toxins, is working overtime, and your body is spending too many resources on fighting off toxins.

Another symptom is digestive problems, such as bloating, constipation, or diarrhea. If the gastrointestinal tract does not cope with its work, toxins remain in the body longer than necessary, which leads to even greater discomfort. Healthy intestinal microflora plays a key role in detoxification, so its disruption is also an alarm bell.

An unpleasant body odor or breath odor that does not disappear after hygiene procedures can also indicate internal poisoning. When the liver and kidneys do not have time to neutralize all toxins, the body tries to remove them through the skin and respiratory system, which manifests itself in an unpleasant odor.

The fourth symptom is skin problems, such as rashes, acne, eczema or dryness. The skin is one of the organs of toxin excretion, so its condition often directly depends on the level of cleanliness of the body from the inside. If internal systems do not cope, toxins "come out" in the form of skin problems.

Edema, especially in the morning, can signal a malfunction in the kidneys or lymphatic system, which is responsible for cleansing the body. Fluid retention is often the body's response to an excess of toxic substances or an unhealthy diet.

Finally, a bad mood, irritability or depression for no apparent reason can also be a consequence of intoxication. The accumulated toxins affect not only the physical condition, but also the emotional well-being, because the chemical imbalance in the body disrupts the production of happiness hormones, such as serotonin and dopamine.
